From New York to Bogota
Performing has always been a part of the fabric of my life. Born and bred in New York to Colombian parents, I sang duets with my sister as a kid and acted in plays while also singing with the school choir. After majoring in theatre in college I went back to New York and worked in the corporate world. I took acting classes and auditioned for theatre and short films on the weekends. A trip to the local fortune teller during a three-week vacation to visit relatives in Colombia unexpectedly turned into a nine year television gig. You can hear more of my story on the VO Boss podcast below.
When you're starting out...you can talk about your strengths, there's no need to lie but you don't have to say "I don't know how to do this." You can say "I'm very eager to learn, to get into the business"
