Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. - Harriet Tubman
Powerful women in Central Park
I love to walk around Central Park when I'm in New York. I get up early, meet my friend Dale and we do the six mile loop. Last year we walked towards the Women's Rights Pioneers Monument. This was new to me; I tend to walk the perimeter of the park, not the inside. The statue depicts Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. It's also the first statue to depict women in Central Park. Why did they wait so long?
