Acting is Everything
Acting is telling the truth in imaginary circumstances whether it's for stage, screen or voiceover. It's all about using your creative imagination. I went to school for this and many years later, I still take acting classes. It's like training at the gym to stay fit. If I'm going to voice a character in a video game, I have to imagine I am that character. If I'm talking about coffee, I have to experience the sensation of it. And if I happen to hate coffee (which I don't), I can always substitute it for something else like hot chocolate.
Who are you talking to? What's your point of view? How do you tell the story? Using your five senses is so important in acting. If you're not familiar with the product or the series, get on the internet. Google and YouTube are your friends. And if you don't book it, move on to the next one.

Keep your body, your instrument, trained. We get rusty if we don't work on it. That's all we have in the voiceover booth. When you're acting you're acting with your whole body, not just your voice.
